Answers before you call.
Choosing life insurance raises many questions. Therefore, we gathered the most common ones here, and your dedicated agent will gladly answer the rest.
Questions about how we work.
What is Opulent Life Financial?
Opulent Life Financial is an independent life insurance agency. Licensed agents help business owners, truckers, high earners and families protect their income and build wealth. Moreover, we work with 30 leading carriers.
Do you work for one insurance company?
No. We are an independent agency that works with 30 leading carriers. As a result, we compare options across carriers instead of offering the products of a single company.
How does the process work?
First, you call us or request a quote online. Next, your dedicated agent learns about your goals and compares options across our carriers. Finally, your agent guides you through the application.
Do I need to visit an office?
No. We work with clients by phone, nationwide. In addition, our phone line is open 24 hours, so you can call whenever it suits you.
Can you help me if I live outside Illinois?
Yes. We have licensed agents on staff for all 50 states, so we can help you wherever you live. In addition, we handle everything by phone.
Questions about coverage types.
What types of coverage do you offer?
We offer term life, whole life, indexed universal life, final expense and annuities, including options for veterans. Because every client is different, your agent recommends the product that fits.
What is the difference between term and permanent insurance?
Term life covers you for a set number of years and builds no cash value. In contrast, permanent insurance, such as whole life or indexed universal life, lasts your lifetime when you fund it properly and builds cash value.
What is wealth-building life insurance?
It generally means permanent life insurance, such as indexed universal life or whole life, that builds cash value in addition to providing a death benefit. However, whether it fits depends on your goals, budget, health and timeline.
Is indexed universal life an investment in the stock market?
No. The insurance company credits interest using a formula that depends in part on how an index performs, but you do not invest in the index itself. Therefore, caps, participation rates and policy charges all affect your cash value growth.
Questions about getting approved.
Who makes the approval decision?
The issuing carrier makes the final approval decision through underwriting. Therefore, your agent explains which options you may qualify for before you apply.
Do I need a medical exam?
It depends on the carrier and the product. For example, some final expense policies skip the exam, while larger policies may require one. Therefore, your agent confirms the requirements first.
Can I get coverage if I have health conditions?
Possibly. Carriers review each application individually, but some products are designed for people with health conditions. Therefore, your agent can explain your options before you apply.
Can veterans get life insurance through you?
Veterans can apply for whole life and final expense coverage, but carrier underwriting makes the final decision. In addition, we have no affiliation with the VA or any government agency.
Questions about cost and your information.
Does requesting a quote cost anything?
No. Requesting a quote is free. In addition, it does not obligate you to buy a policy.
How much will coverage cost?
Cost depends on the product, your age, your health, the coverage amount and the carrier. Therefore, your agent builds a personal quote after learning about your situation.
How do you handle my personal information?
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. For your safety, please do not send Social Security numbers or detailed health information through our website forms, because your agent will discuss anything sensitive with you by phone.
Ask your agent anything.
Speak with a licensed agent by phone, or request your free quote online. Either way, your questions are welcome.
